All is well, all is well.

My dear friends,

It’s official… Brookylouu is back and Sister Rodriguez is gone for a short time! WHAT AN ADJUSTMENT THIS HAS BEEN. Can I really watch TV or am I being punk’d?! Did that person really just call me Brooklyn?! Is that really my name?! You mean I’m allowed to go to the bathroom without my companion standing outside the door?! WHAT IS THIS?! A REALITY CHECK. That’s what it is.

I once heard a quote that says, “Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and sometimes in the middle of nowhere you find yourself”…but I like to change it to fit my circumstances a little more…

“Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of Idaho, and sometimes in the middle of Idaho you find yourself”. HA! You didn’t see that one coming, did you!?

Everyone has told me that I am different or that I have changed. But the truth is, I have found myself. I am far from the person I once was, but I am nowhere near to the person that I am yet to become.

I’m not quite sure where I’m going, or why Heavenly Father needed me home at this very moment, but I do know that wherever it is that I am going…I am on my way…and not just on my way, but on my way to greatness.

“In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust.” –Psalm 31:1

Saying goodbye to my new friends, especially LeAnna whom I got to be very close with and eventually see baptized, and the rest of my Idaho “family”  was HANDS DOWN one of the hardest things I have ever done… along with all the change that I came home to. But Psalm 30:5 says it all.

“…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

You can’t read that and deny its truth! I hope that any of you who are reading this will turn to that verse in times of weeping, sorrow, or pain. There is always hope in the future, always a brand new day laying ahead, always a loving Heavenly Father who wants nothing more than for us to be happy.  Always, always, always. “The earth is FULL of the goodness of the Lord” (Psalm 33:5) but we just need to recognize it.

Many of you are wondering about when my surgery is taking place…here’s the latest update:

I will be meeting with my surgeon on October 9th to schedule the surgery, which will most likely be taking place in November! I will continue to update everyone with that when I receive more information!

Thank you EVERYONE for your support, your love, and concern. It definitely does not go unnoticed, and I am forever grateful for all of you that have stood by me in this journey that is not yet over…I repeat, IT IS NOT YET OVER. The best is yet to come, and I am a firm believer of that.

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” 2 Corinthians 4:17

ALL IS WELL, ALL IS WELL.
